The World Inequality Lab is looking for a Junior Economist available for a full-time position for at least 12 months starting on July 1st 2025 or September 2025.

You will join the central team to contribute to updating the macroeconomic and distributional data series published on the World Inequality Database. In addition, you will assist the various regional
coordinators in producing and updating global inequality data by systematically and coherently combining existing sources (surveys, tax data and national accounts).

You will work under the supervision of the WIL Co-director and Head of Data, who oversees the management and updating of inequality data.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master 1 or 2
  • Experience: 0-2 years
  • Languages: English
  • Skills: good knowledge of Stata, organizational skills, good ability to collaborate on computer code
